I’m also going to point out that although I may look like a child and am younger than a lot of people I know… I am still not a child. I will not be spoken to like a child. People see the autism diagnosis and think it gives them the right to speak to me like a child. They probably don’t realise they do it in some cases. Others wonder why they get an attitude from me… that is purely reactive. I am also older than my years in how I think. Yes, I have a dash of immaturity in there but what adult loses all the immaturity when they grow up?!
