Patterns I have noticed …

I have spoken to many people over the years involved in the uk system. There are particular patterns which I have noticed. For instance, school making out that the students they didn’t understand were made out to be extremely awful individuals on written records. The pattern continues even today. I don’t know if it’s part of feeding certain misunderstood children into the criminal justice system but many of those individuals did end up being directed down that route. It definitely isn’t ok. They wouldn’t like it if someone wrote a load of assumptions about them which painted them in a negative light. Some of these children were merely reacting to mistreatment by others. The system is a complete mess and has been for a very long time. They’ve screwed more people up mentally than helped them.

Then when it comes to how little support, or more aptly, lack of appropriate support by services and councils. The amount of autistic people that simply don’t get the appropriate support by services are higher than you’d assume. The last ten years have seen many autistic peoples services taken away. Many are stuck in autism treatment units under section, their problems are getting worse due to lack of appropriate care. The amount of mistreatment of autistic people in these services are rife. The gaslighting of autistics is cruel and triggers their problems or fuels their trauma. Then the autistic person gets punished for reacting.
