Why do I seem to have no post adoption plan?

I seem to be the only person who hasn’t got any post adoption contact with their child? The arrangements in the original plan never got approved during care proceedings which was a suggestion of two letters per year. Then I get told it’s too late to ask for contact after the adoption had gone through. I missed the adoption hearing because I had no one to represent me and emotionally couldn’t take it. It seems that I lost any chance of contact remotely because an order wasn’t made for contact on that day. I can’t go back. I don’t think it’s fair that everyone else seems to have at least letterbox contact apart from me.

  1. Probably the same reason care plans never happen in mental health in spite of being a legal requirement. They know there’s no effective complaints procedure and that the courts will side with them, especially as they know how to game the system.

FWIW I strongly doubt you’re the only one affected; my experience of my own albeit different situation is that it turns out the same problems I had are more common than not. This is why you need to get through your law degree so you can use it as a stick to beat them with. Everyone benefits. Well, everyone except them, which is kinda the point…
