Change of plan.

I have started to knit a mask but I don’t think I will be able to sell them in bulk because it’s taken me over 3 hours to do most of the mask. I’m using the smallest needles that I have to ensure there are no gaps in the design. The needles ends are also quite fine and pointy which has left my hands sore. I am not able to knit very fast when my hands go sore. I don’t mind knitting masks for others but I can only do one at a time due to the tiny stitches required to make the masks safe to use. I also don’t think that it feels right to charge people due to the circumstances. It takes me 3 to 4 hours to knit the whole mask including attaching the bits that hook over ears. I also am using wool that I’ve had to originally buy. The cost for time and materials are probably averaging up to over £5. I do not feel that is fair to charge while a lot of people aren’t working right now. I also need to practice getting quicker at knitting them. Once I’ve knitted a few I will probably be knitting at speed because I will have got used to the stitches without having to actually think about which one comes next. I only learned to knit a year ago. I didn’t knit for a while due to my open university module work.
