Editing in progress, please be patient.

There isn’t going to be any new entries on here for a few days or more. I’m currently editing the previous posts into the new colour scheme (there is absolutely loads of entries to edit at this point). I’m trying to completely professionalise the blog so that I am taken seriously. I don’t want people to see me as a child who does not know what they’re talking about any longer. I am aware that I still look young. I get people assuming that I’m early to mid 20s until they see my year of birth. I suppose that it is better than still looking like a teenager. I used to get told I looked too young to buy alcohol and sometimes cigarettes when I was in my early 20s. Luckily, I have always had my driving licence in my purse to prove I wasn’t under age. I also find that being short doesn’t help. I’m not tiny but I still have to look up to talk to most people at only 5 ft 2. I am built petite, my shoes are only a size 3. This makes it extremely hard to be listened to by others when I’m campaigning for change. I hear that Megan, Harry, William and Kate (royal family) are looking for volunteers to help with their mental health charity. Hello…. ‘waves’. I would be honoured but I’m certainly not the type of person that will ever get the chance to brush shoulders with royal connections.

I just feel that the blog needs a make over while my life is in the process of transformation. I may not be at the stage of working with important connections but we all have to make an effort to start somewhere. I hope that all my regular readers have a lovely quiet few days of me being completely silent. I assure you that it does happen occasionally. I have to be quiet to get things done… as I said before, easily distracted.

  1. I suppose I’ll nag you here too. :p

I can’t say with any conviction that “css is your friend” because it’s a bastard; but once you have it set up you can change all your pages in one swell foop, no more having to manually edit every single one. It is a standard and has been for a very long time, so no “here today, gone tomorrow” weirdness going on, and I can help automate it being integrated into your pages if you want. The results don’t have to be uploaded until you’re happy with them (well, depending on how much of a tangled mess WP is).

And naughty hamster buying cigarettes: I’m sure you said you’re tried once; it’s not really the done thing to extend the scope of “once” to, for example, “from the age of 11 to the present day”.

    1. Argh, why is there no edit button on WP? D: “you’re tried” should be “you only tried”, my concentration ran away and hid mid-sentence.

      1. Back in Ye Olden Dayes I was frequently sent to the newsagents by the likes of my grandparents to buy cigarettes when I was about 10 years old. Since ten-year-olds aren’t supposed to smoke they gave me money for candy cigarettes too. How times change.
